On December 21, 2010 a rare winter solstice lunar eclipse occurred. The last time this happened was December 21, 1638 and next one will be in 475 years. Photographers from all over the world share with you this historic spectacle.

    Breath taking. My pictures did not come out at all. It was freezing and very windy here in southern MD during this eclipse, but I set my alarm and took time to view this awe inspiring event. You captured it beautifully.
